The inboxes are monitored from 9:00am to 5:00pm (EST), Monday to Friday.
For Summer 2021, plans are underway to re-introduce both remote and in-person research opportunities for continuing undergraduates in good standing. More information on available programs and funding will be announced in the first weeks of January.
All research and fellowship application deadlines during the spring term will remain as currently planned. Please refer to application instructions and other resources on our website for information about individual awards and programs. IMPORTANT: If you are taking a leave of absence during spring 2021, you must receive Ad Board approval via your Resident Dean to submit applications for summer programs and funding. You will not be able to access CARAT until which time your exception has been approved, so you will need to START THAT PROCESS WITH YOUR RESIDENT DEAN EARLY.

News about COVID-19
Harvard College is committed to the health, safety, and wellbeing of our students, wherever your intellectual pursuits may lead you. As always, undergraduate students and post-baccalaureate fellows traveling abroad with Harvard sponsorship must adhere to the College’s international travel policy, which sets forth certain conditions and restrictions for travel to elevated-risk and high-risk destinations. Additionally, and in light of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the College will adhere to all travel directives from the Office of the Provost when awarding travel grants. The COVID-19 outbreak is evolving daily, and we simply cannot predict what may occur in the next few weeks and months. Government agencies as well as Harvard may impose new requirements if warranted by changing public health circumstances. No funding will be awarded for travel to any destination under Provostial restriction, and Harvard may rescind sponsorship of previously-approved planned travel if warranted prior to your departure. We recognize the uncertainty of the situation and we encourage you to be as flexible as possible with your spring and summer travel. As needed, the Harvard College office or center awarding funding will work with affected students to determine possible alternative plans. Review the COVID-19 travel advice.
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (URAF) serves Harvard College students as well as faculty and administrators across the university as the primary source of information about undergraduate research and prestigious scholarships at Harvard and beyond.
