Alumni Feature: Isaac Heller '23 on the Harvard Cambridge Fellowship

Isaac Heller '23 recently graduated from Harvard College with a joint concentration in Theater, Dance & Media and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. In the fall, he plans to continue his studies at Cambridge University in the U.K. after receiving the Harvard-Cambridge fellowship grant. Harvard-Cambridge Scholarships provide for one year of intellectual exploration at Cambridge University in the year after graduation. Each of the four scholarships covers tuition and fees, placement at one of the designated four partnership colleges, lodging, and a stipend to cover other expenses, including transportation and some travel. Harvard-Cambridge Scholars also become part of a close-knit community of scholar-alumni who carry the Scholarship forward to future generations.

After reading about Isaac’s studies through his Harvard-Cambridge application, I wanted to hear more about his interests in Theater, Dance, and Media, and how they shaped his process of fellowship application.  I reached out to him to learn more about his project and coordinate an interview. The following transcript records the conversation I had with Isaac.

Introduction, interview, and transcript by Irene Hill, URAF summer intern.
